• Practice use of hydraulic controls with suspended loads
• Site travelling procedures
• Safety rules for slinging of loads and general slinging methods
• Inspection and selection of lifting accessories
• Stability of loads and stress factors in lifting accessories
• Estimation of load weights
• Telescopic handler operating procedures and precautions
• Safe movement of loads/goods
• End of shift safe parking procedures

Assessment

Theory and practical examination.

Duration

The above course will vary on the duration depending on the experience of the candidates.

• Novice operators:  5 day course
• Experienced operators: 1 day course
