Course objective

To provide the trainee with the knowledge, skills and aptitude to enable them to load, unload and move materials safely from the lorry bed or trailer.

  • Stacking and de-stacking loads at high eye and low level
  • Mounting the truck to the lorry body
  • Dismounting the truck from the lorry body

Assessment

Theory and practical examination.

1 instructor : 1 lorry mounted lift truck : 3 candidates

Duration

The duration of the course will vary depending on the experience of the candidates 1-5 day course.

  • Novice operators: 5 day course
  • Experienced operators: 1 day course
